Sarah Seager

Sarah Seager is a scientist who studies planets that orbit stars other than the Sun. These planets are called exoplanets. Sarah is a professor of planetary science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Sarah has worked on a number of projects to study exoplanets, including:

• Using telescopes to find exoplanets: Sarah has used telescopes to look for exoplanets around other stars. She has also developed new methods for finding exoplanets.
• Studying the atmospheres of exoplanets: Sarah has used telescopes to study the atmospheres of exoplanets. She has looked for gases in the atmosphere that could indicate the presence of life.
• Modelling the formation and evolution of exoplanets: Sarah has developed computer models to study how exoplanets form and evolve. She has also used these models to predict the properties of exoplanets that have not yet been found.

Sarah is a passionate advocate for exoplanet research. She believes that exoplanets can teach us a lot about the formation and evolution of our own solar system. She also believes that exoplanets could potentially harbour life, and she is excited to continue the search for exoplanets that could support life.
