This week, Developing Experts and Redwings Horse Sanctuary partnered up for the first time and conducted some mutually beneficial film work.

With five centres based around the UK, including two in Norfolk, Redwings is the largest horse sanctuary in the UK. Over 250 dedicated staff members help to rehome, care for and rehabilitate around 1500 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules.

In the first series of films, animal care experts Charlotte and Corinne discussed the care and rehoming of the horses, the habitats horses live in and the way horses and humans help one another.

Developing Experts will be using the films as part of our growing range of expert films in lessons, and Redwings will be using them to publicise the work they do in their education centres.

Further filming is due to take place in the Autumn, with a focus on the work of the veterinary team and farriers.

Developing Experts Curriculum Director Paul Usher said: "We are delighted to have made a positive link with Redwings and we see so many links in the work we both do for education and for charity. The experts available to us will really boost our lessons and we hope the finished films will add to the educational experience for visitors to Redwings centres. I would like to thank Charlotte and Corinne for their enthusiasm on film and in particular Nicola Knight, Redwings Head of Communications, for setting up this opportunity for us."
