phytomining
To plant vegetation with specifically concentrate certain metals out of the environment into their tissues to be exploited commercially of their extracted metal.
bioleaching
Extracting metals from waste or ores using microorganisms to oxidise the metals.
extraction
To remove something from a material.
leachate
Water which is percolated through a solid so the constituents are leached out.
electrolysis
The process by which ionic substances are broken down into simpler substances when an electric current is passed through them.
