KS4 Curriculum Reviewers

Salary: £20 p/hr

Developing Experts is a dynamic educational content provider dedicated to enhancing science education by offering high-quality, engaging lesson plans for teachers and students. We are looking for a pool of talented KS4 Curriculum Reviewers, with a passion for education and a strong background in one or more of the core science subjects: Physics, Biology and Chemistry.

This is a flexible, part-time role where work will be assigned to you based on your experience, availability and capacity.

You will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and refining science lesson plans specifically designed for KS4 AQA specifications. You will evaluate content for accuracy, clarity and alignment with the AQA curriculum objectives. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to suggest improvements or innovative strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit lesson plans: Ensure lesson plans align with KS4 AQA specifications and are scientifically accurate, clear and curriculum-compliant.
  • Subject knowledge expertise: Apply your deep understanding of Physics, Biology and/or Chemistry to ensure content is thorough and correct, meeting AQA standards.
  • Suggest improvements: Provide feedback on how lesson plans can be improved to better suit classroom needs and engage students effectively.
  • Quality assurance: Ensure all content matches the Developing Experts' standard and is clear, concise and accessible for teachers at various stages of their teaching careers.

Candidate requirements:

Essential 

  •  Strong subject knowledge in one or more science specialisms (Physics, Biology, Chemistry) at the KS4 level
  •  Experience in teaching the AQA specification 
  •  Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors and suggest clear, actionable improvements
  •  Strong and accurate written skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Desirable

  •  Previous experience working freelance in content creation
