Developing Experts wins Tech Innovator at the Norfolk Business Awards 2018

We’re thrilled to share that last week Developing Experts clinched the title of Tech Innovator at the Norfolk Business Awards. Upon winning the award, the judges said: “Developing Experts was chosen as the winner of the Tech Innovator category, having demonstrated the technical advancements in platform technology it was putting into countries with a poorer network infrastructure for the purposes of education in schools.”

A number of the Developing Experts team attended the black tie event with two nominations, Knowledge Pioneer and Tech Innovator. The event was also a great opportunity for local companies to network. 

The Tech Innovator award, presented to our CTO Shane Morgan and Platform Manager Lucie Sweet by comedian Katherine Ryan, celebrates our achievements in tech with our innovative online learning platform supporting teachers who lack confidence in the topics they teach, having never specialised in them.

The award also boasts as a huge accomplishment for our 20+ strong team. Developing Experts’ Curriculum Director, Paul Usher, said on the night: “I think the secret to our success is the people we work with, we have such a diverse range of staff”. 

After winning the award, our CTO, Shane Morgan, discussed our plans for expansion with the EDP:

“The future of Developing Experts is expansion; we’re already expanding into the US and next year into other countries. As well as improving our product for teachers we also want to make our home school products more accessible.”

This Tech Innovator award comes at an exciting time for Developing Experts, as our new platform updates roll out with an exciting new course builder, our content team give our learning content an exciting refresh, and our marketing team grows.
